HOODOO IS A CLOSED SPIRITUAL PRACTICE FOR THOSE OF AFRICAN DESCENT!
Dr. Bo offers a structured, respectful program teaching the traditions and magical practices passed down through our Ancestors. Rooted in the curriculum Dr. Bo learned from his Great Aunt, the academy prepares young people of African descent to carry forward these traditions with knowledge, safety, and reverence. Our aim is to build intelligent, resilient Black communities who keep our practices sacred and prosperous.
Our program is organized into four core subjects that reflect Dr. Bo’s childhood lessons:
The Heroes of Hoodoo
Study the lives, roles, and teachings of the ancestors, elders, rootworkers, and community healers who shaped Hoodoo traditions.
Learn historical context, ethical responsibilities, and the importance of lineage and storytelling in preserving cultural memory.
Working With Spirits
Teach safe, respectful methods for spirit communication, ancestor veneration, and discernment.
Emphasize consent, boundaries, protection practices, and community protocols for spiritual work.
Herbs & Plants
Practical study of plants, roots, and botanicals used in Hoodoo: identification, harvesting ethics, preparation, and safe usage.
Focus on sustainable, legal, and non-harmful practices for medicine, ritual, and household magic.
Imagination & Numerology
Develop imaginative techniques, symbolism, and creative visualization as tools for ritual and personal development.
Introduce numerology basics and how number patterns relate to timing, rituals, and personal growth within Hoodoo frameworks.
This academy is intended for young people of African descent who want a grounded, culturally rooted education in ancestral traditions. Students should come with respect for elders, a willingness to learn community-centered ethics, and a commitment to keeping traditions sacred.
Safety, Ethics, and Community Standards
Every lesson emphasizes safety, legal compliance, and ethical behavior.
Spiritual practices are taught with boundaries, protections, and community accountability.
We honor ancestral protocols and require students to approach learning with humility and responsibility.
