7 Day Dume Candle
Product overview
Traditional 7-day Dume candle made for spiritual work, ritual use, and long-burning intentions.
Tall, slow-burning paraffin wax candle with a cotton core designed to burn continuously for up to seven days when properly monitored.
Available in multiple colors, each aligned with common ritual associations (see color guide below).
Unscented base; fragrances or anointing oils can be added according to practice.
Basic instructions for ritual use
Prepare: Clear a safe, stable surface. Cleanse the space with smoke, salt, or your preferred method. Set your intention clearly.
Dress the candle (optional): Anoint with oil or sprinkle herbs corresponding to the work. When dressing, move from base to tip to “draw” energy toward the goal; some traditions go tip to base—follow your practice.
Focus: Carve symbols, names, or dates into the wax if your tradition uses inscribing. State the intention aloud or silently.
Light and maintain: Light the candle and keep it burning as long as is safe. For a full 7-day spell, many practitioners allow it to burn continuously, relighting if it extinguishes. Others relight at set times (sunrise/sunset) according to their method.
Complete: When finished, safely extinguish. Keep remnants if your tradition calls for them, or dispose respectfully (burying, burning remnants, or placing in flowing water, depending on practice).
Safety reminders
Never leave burning candle unattended.
Keep away from children, pets, curtains, and flammable materials.
Use a heat-resistant dish to catch drips and prevent surface damage.
Allow adequate ventilation; avoid drafts that may cause uneven burning or tipping.
Extinguish with a snuffer when possible to avoid blowing wax and disturbing written intentions.
